LA Medspa was founded in 2005 by Jennifer Kapur, RN. Before opening the clinic she worked at Sault Area Hospital; over the past decade she's trained with plastic surgeons across Canada and Europe, and has continued to refine the practice's technique with every new modality the industry has introduced.
What distinguishes the practice is who does the work. Every consultation sits with a prescriber — a Registered Nurse, a Nurse Practitioner, or a board-certified plastic surgeon. Medical estheticians carry the standard between visits. The roster has grown deliberately: ten clinicians across face, body, hormone therapy, and skin care, under one prescriber-led roof.

Board-certified plastic and craniofacial surgeon; former Head of Plastic Surgery at Trillium Health Partners. Medical school at Queen's; plastic surgery residency at the University of Toronto; craniofacial fellowship at USC and Cedars-Sinai; executive MBA from Cornell and Queen's. Appointed Lecturer in the U of T Division of Plastic Surgery. Volunteer surgeon with Operation Smile.
Nurse Practitioner with over fourteen years in health care. Bachelor's in Nursing from the University of Ottawa (2010); Master's in Nursing and NP Diploma from the University of Toronto (2016). Practicing NP at the Algoma Nurse Practitioner–Led Clinic since 2017.
Nurse Practitioner and medical aesthetics specialist. Faculty of Nursing at Sault College since 2006. Bachelor's from Lakehead (2007); Master of Nursing from Athabasca (2010); Post-Master's Advanced NP certification (2014). Certified in Botox administration with a clinical focus on migraine treatment.
Registered Nurse. Graduated Sault College's nursing program. Nine years of critical care experience across the United States; currently also practicing at Sault Area Hospital's medical follow-up clinic.
Three-year medical esthetics and skin care specialization from Georgian College. Prior experience at Novo Spa Yorkville, Old Mill Toronto, and resort spas in Muskoka and Orillia. CoolSculpting University (Washington) and Bodify Clinic (Arizona) certified; phlebotomy certified.
Graduated Sault College (2017) and the Looks Aesthetics Academy in Toronto; phlebotomy certified through CIMT College. One of the first medical estheticians practicing in Sault Ste. Marie.
Two-year Medical Esthetician and Spa Management diploma from Humber College's Longo Faculty of Business (2024). Trained across laser, IPL, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, radiofrequency, and LED therapy.
Esthetics diploma from Sault College (2023) and Advanced Medical Esthetics Practitioner diploma with honours from St. Clair College (2024), where she received the Faculty Academic Award. Oncology Esthetics trained and dermaplaning certified.
Manages day-to-day clinic operations — scheduling, supply, and the service and product representatives the clinic works with. The operational backbone that keeps a ten-clinician practice moving.
Business Administration Honours degree from Algoma University (2015) and Public Relations & Event Management diploma from Sault College (2016).
LA Medspa's prescriber-led team holds the Ontario and federal credentials required for every treatment offered here. Nursing staff are registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
